This painting, "Observer in the Room," is a slight reimagining of my first work, "Observer," though the core idea remains entirely the same. Inspired by Nietzsche’s philosophy and his concept of the Übermensch, it is a reflection on the importance of looking at oneself from a distance — separating one’s true nature from the ego. By placing the figure within the structured boundaries of a room, the concept becomes grounded in our immediate, everyday reality. The artwork depicts a personal “Übermensch” — an inner observer who notices every subtle thought, emotion, or reaction, yet does not judge them. Judgment belongs to the ego — the observer remains impartial and sees things as they truly are. I believe that each of us carries such an observer within, although it is often hidden beneath layers of habit, attachment, and the false “self.” May this painting serve as a reminder that a personal Übermensch — a conscious Observer — can live within every home.
