Observer

2023
Acrylic painting
80 × 100 cm

My favorite piece from my latest collection. I painted it inspired by Nietzsche’s philosophy and his concept of the Übermensch. It is a reflection on the importance of looking at oneself from a distance — separating one’s true nature from the ego. This painting depicts a personal “Übermensch” — an inner observer who notices every subtle thought, emotion, or reaction, yet does not judge them. Judgment belongs to the ego — the observer remains impartial and sees things as they truly are. I believe that each of us carries such an observer within, although it is often hidden beneath layers of habit, attachment, and the false “self.” May this painting serve as a reminder that a personal Übermensch — a conscious Observer — can live within every home.
