Vidi
2026
Сanvas, Acrylic
60 × 80 cm
There are things that cannot be unseen. They remain in the body, in the way you hold your shoulders, in the way you look slightly aside, avoiding direct eye contact. The figure is painted in a cold, blue steel, almost non-human color, yet it is impossible not to recognize a human being in it. The fire behind the back poses no threat, for it has already happened. The blue drips from the chin are neither tears nor blood, but something that found no words and emerged differently. The red cross deep in the background provides no answer, it only confirms that something happened here. The Latin vidi is first person singular, past tense. I saw. Not "we," not "they." One person. One moment. And the entire weight of this knowledge is captured in a single glance.
