Feronia
2026
Сanvas, Acrylic
60 × 80 cm
The piece invokes the image of Feronia, an ancient Italic goddess of fire, nature, and liberation. The figure is rendered in a cold blue-and-black palette, intentionally contrasted against a glowing background of ochre, orange, and crimson - the element surrounds but does not consume. The monumental crown of hair, occupying most of the canvas, stands as a symbol of sovereignty and inner strength. Textured brushstrokes, dripping, and a pronounced surface relief enhance the feeling of a living, pulsating energy. The painting exists on the borderline between portrait and archetype - the viewer is presented not with a specific person, but with power incarnate.
